چکیده

In this paper, twelve concrete beams with two different layers of were evaluated as a simply supported beam under four-points loading. The assembled types layers, one which was normal-weight (NWC) and the other lightweight aggregate (LWAC). investigated parameters thickness to overall depth (hLW/h), compressive strength normal concrete. Due weak aggregates used, exhibits more brittleness lower stiffness. Therefore, viability compensating for degradation providing layer seems be very interesting in such beams. behavior based on cracking, failure mode, flexural strength, maximum deflection, stiffness, toughness. results showed slight variations majority above-mentioned performance aspects two-layer compared fully While there great enhancements LWAC variants mainly attributable efficacy using stiffness tensile strength. experimental have been predicted values ACI 318-19, some modifications equations matched beams, comparison terms deflection due service load, moment capacity, cracking moment.

Flexural Behavior of Lightweight Concrete Beams Reinforced with GFRP Bars and Effects of the Added Micro and Macro Fiber

This study evaluated the effect of macro steel fiber (SF), micro glass fiber (GF) and micro polypropylene fiber (PF) in lightweight aggregate concrete, (LWAC) beams reinforced with glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars. Firstly, concrete mixtures with different volume fractions of GF, PF and SF were tested up to compressive strength, then determine the optimum fiber content GF, PF and SF a...

Flexural Behavior of Reinforced HPFRCC Beams

High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composite (HPFRCC) materials exhibit strain hardening behavior with multiple cracking under tensile loading. In this paper, experimental and parametric studies are performed to assess the influence of using HPFRCC material instead of normal concrete in reinforced concrete beams. After calibrating the experimental results, the analytical results inc...

Mechanical Behavior of Concrete, Made with Micro-Nano Air Bubbles

Nano materials have been widely used in laboratory and industrial scales in order to improve various properties of concrete and concrete mixture. The mainstream practice of the researches in this field is to add metallic nano-particles into the concrete mixture. The present research focuses on adding Micro-Nano Air Bubbles (MNAB) into water before mixing it with aggregate and cement mixtures. I...

MODELING FLEXURAL STRENGTH OF EPS LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE USING REGRESSION, NEURAL NETWORK AND ANFIS

Lightweight concrete (LWC) is a kind of concrete that made of lightweight aggregates or gas bubbles. These aggregates could be natural or artificial, and expanded polystyrene (EPS) lightweight concrete is the most interesting lightweight concrete and has good mechanical properties. Bulk density of this kind of concrete is between 300-2000 kg/m3. In this paper flexural strength of EPS is modeled...
